Archbishop Emeritus Henry Luke Orombi took to the pulpit at All Saints Cathedral in Kampala to speak at the Men’s Prayer Conference under the theme “Reboot”.
He started off by telling a story of young children who requested him to hug them. “Are you not hugging them anymore?” he paused. The Bishop looked across the room full of men and said, “You see, men, part of your ministry is huggability: openness of heart. If we don’t open our arms to the next generation, we’ll lose them.”
He delved into the story of the two Adams: the first Adam who failed in the Garden of Eden and the second Adam (Jesus Christ) who came to put right what had gone wrong. He urged the men to reboot their lives and understand their calling in the Lord’s vineyard.
“God still calls us, not angels, to partner with Him in His work. He wants us to stand tall in our families, our workplaces, and our communities. Uganda needs men who will reboot, men who will rise again.”
