Iron Sharpens Iron: The Brotherhood of Discipleship Groups

When the Men’s Annual Prayer Conference started out in 2020, the excitement was palpable as hundreds of men gathered to seek God.

Building on the success of the first MPC in 2020, it was clear that meeting only once a year for a week wasn’t sufficient for sustainable growth. And so in 2021, the Men’s Discipleship Groups (MDGs) were birthed after the second MPC.

Comprised of an average of seven men, the vision was that these smaller groups would provide a platform and a safe space for men to intentionally meet every week to grow in their faith, character and accountability.

Over the past four years, the MDGs have deepened knowledge of God’s Word, created strong bonds of friendship, and facilitated character building. The groups enjoy retreats, sports, long treks, and book clubs, building community that is critical for mental health and spiritual growth.
